Mental health first aid
MHFA is a course that teaches how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness, substance use disorder, or persons experiencing crisis. MHFA provides participants with the tools needed to identify and most importantly help someone in need. Being trained reduces the fear, anxiety, and hesitation in initiating a conversation as well as reduces stigma related to mental illness.
